Roots is a small series of 3 paintings exploring the feeling of home, longing for home, and the roots that connect us to where we come from. The series draws inspiration from Romanian traditional folklore and family heritage. Patterns from an old family carpet or a traditional garment became part of the paintings, carrying fragments of memory, tradition and belonging into the present.
